The UFMG Summer School on Brazilian Studies intends to give students from all over the world an understanding of key aspects of Brazil from distinct perspectives. The instructors are professors from UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais), a leading Brazilian university, recently ranked 9th for best higher education institutions in Latin America by Britain’s Times Higher Education. Over two weeks of intense learning, meetings will cover the underpinnings of Brazilian politics, history, foreign relations, geography, law, economy, arts and culture.
We would like to offer two scholarships for University of Seville: one full (worth USD 1,000) and one half (worth USD 500). The two students shall be nominated by your University according to your own criteria.
Scholarships will be provided in the form of fee waiving. So nominated students will pay nothing (full scholarship) or USD 500 (half scholarship) and get all the above services (accommodation, main meals, field trips and classes-related costs).
Of course, all students would also have to equally cover their own flight tickets, health insurance, visa and personal expenses.
The UFMG Organizing Committee will select 40 students from all over the world to attend the Summer School.
